Ventilation Control and Automation
Bird health – Variability – Constant Monitoring/Operation

01
Ventilation control is important to any poultry facility, because it is critical to ensure and improve health of the birds. Proper conditioning and movement of air will help ensure the desired climate for the birds.
02
A control system is required to automatically manage ventilation devices:
- Fans (mixing, stir)
- Cooling devices (cool cells, misters)
- Heating devices (gas-fired burners, in-floor, hydronic, geothermal)
- Inlet devices (baffles, inlet doors and curtains
- Exhausting devices (curtains, inlet doors

03
Reasons for ventilation is to provide ample and clean oxygen to the birds (at least ½ CFM per bird per minute), air movement to manage barn moisture and remove ammonia, and manage dust.
04
Prism Controls has more than 40 years in the poultry industry, and its engineers take advantage of that experience by examining core protocols from hundreds of barns to start the process of customizing a control system right for any operation. Prism Controls’ Command III control system is ideal for ventilation control and automation.
